West of England's Stabling stables are made from recclaimed hardwood timber that is reinforced with steel through the centre, giving them enormous strength, and/or reclaimed solid 45mm thick plastic panels that are virtually indestructible. The plastic has the advantage of being a little lighter to handle, easier to clean/disinfect when required needs absolutely no maintenance and is more readily available as a commodity, as reclaimed hardwood becomes increasingly scarce. Unlike the average plywood or softwood stabling, our stables should last a lifetime – not just a few years! Our aim is to provide durable, practical, safe stables that will withstand the rigours of professional yards as well as normal domestic use. |

The Wiegersma family have had a commercial involvement with horses and feed manufacture for 40 years. In 1998 they built a few extra stables in their yard and a number of people asked if they could make them some similar ones. As a result, 11 years ago they started manufacturing stables on a small scale and this has now built up into a thriving business, but is still small enough to give prompt, friendly and personal service. |

The Wiegersma family have also had a long standing sporting involvement with horses. Hendrik Wiegersma rode internationally and his daughter, Lucy Wiegersma, has followed in his footsteps and is now one of the top event riders in the country. | |||||
